If you want to make a fashion statement this summer, you can’t ignore the new pattern trends. We introduce you to the prints that cannot be missing on trousers, dresses, accessories and the like. We also know what is “out”.
Pattern trends 2026: From Leo to floral
Patterns are the secret ingredient for a great summer look because they give even simple outfits that certain something. But while the right prints make us shine, unflattering patterns can unintentionally weigh down the look and make us look years older.
In: leopard print, out: camouflage
The leopard look has long since shed its image as a pattern that is difficult to combine. This season the pattern is presented in a particularly elegant way. Whether as a flowing satin dress, skirt or loose trousers – you can consider leopard print as neutral because it goes with everything! Black, beige or bold bright colors like red or pink: whatever you like is allowed.
The military look has long been a staple of streetwear, but this summer we’re giving camouflage a well-deserved break.
In: floral prints, out: batik
Of course, floral patterns are no strangers to summer. But this summer you will reinvent yourself again. We’re impressed with large, colorful flowers and 3D embroidery this year. It can really pop and put you in a good mood. Our tip: Combine feminine floral dresses with a break in style, such as sturdy boots or a leather jacket.
Batik has accompanied us through the last few summers and was the symbol of relaxing days at home. But we’re slowly getting fed up with the blurry color transitions.
In: polka dots, out: bright neo-patterns
Dots are the trend pattern of the moment. Whether classic in black and white or in color: polka dots give every look an instant elegance that is reminiscent of the style of the 50s and 60s. The best part? They work for every age and every occasion.
In contrast, the flashy, geometric patterns in neon colors are reminiscent of the rave culture of the 80s and 90s.
