Which wool for the T-shirt dress?
If you want to reknit the t-shirt dress, you must Gomitolo Tono by Lana Grossa in the following colors and quantities: 1 (2 – 2 – 2 -2) ball = approx. 100 (200 – 200 – 200 – 200) g peach/salmon pink/orange (col 1035), 1 (1 – 1 – 1 – 1) ball = approx. 100 (100 – 100 – 100 – 100) g tomato/strawberry/pink (col. 1036), 1 (1 – 1 – 1 – 1) ball = approx. 100 (100 – 100 – 100 – 100) g cyclamen/fuchsia/pink (col. 1037), 2 (2 – 2 – 2 – 3) and ball = approx. 200 (200 – 200 – 200 – 300) g red violet/plum/lilac (Fb1038). The knitting yarn is made from 100% organic cotton and can be purchased directly from you Specialist dealer for Lana Grossa knitting yarns be purchased.
In order for the wool to be made into a summer dress, you will also need the following utensils:
- Short circular knitting needles size 2.5
- Short circular knitting needles size 3.5
- Long circular knitting needle size 2.5
- Long circular knitting needle size 3.5
Knit the t-shirt dress
The dress can be knitted in sizes 36/38 (40/42 – 44/46 – 48/50 and 52/54). The information for size 40/42 is in brackets in the first place, for size 44/46 in second place, for size 48/50 in third place and for size 52/54 in last place. If there is only one specification, it applies to all sizes. The dress is made from top to bottom knitted in one piece.
Stitch sample
25 sts and 32 rows in stocking st with needle size 3.5 = 10 times
10cm.
Rib pattern
P 1, twist 1 st (insert into the back loop, twist the st once) alternately.
Smooth right
Always work K in the round. In rows: K back st, purl st back.
Raglan rib pattern
Repeat over 3 sts and 4 rounds. 1st round: 1 U, 3 sts, 1 U. K the YOs on the following round and then integrate both into the stockinette stitch pattern. 2nd round: K 3.
3rd round: 1 U, pull the 3rd st on the left row over the two sts in front of it, K 1, U 1, K 1, U 1. K the side yarn overs on the next round and then integrate both into the stockinette stitch pattern. 4th round: K 1, K the U of previous round, K 1. Always repeat the 1st to 4th rounds, increasing 4 sts per raglan rib every 4 rounds.
Kraus right
In the round: Work 1 round P and 1 round K alternately.
color sequence
Start the dress from the top with color 1035. As soon as the first ball runs out or (22 – 25 – 28 – 31) cm from the rib pattern – measured on the back piece, continue with color 1036. As soon as the ball runs out, continue with color 1037. As soon as the ball runs out, finish the dress in color 1038.
Round yoke
Cast on 148 sts with color 1035 and needle size 2.5, form a round, mark the beginning of the round and work rib for 2 cm. Now purl 1 round. Continue with needle size 3.5 in the color sequence as follows: *20 sts in stocking st = right shoulder, 3 sts in raglan rib pattern, 48 sts in stockinette st = front piece, 3 sts in raglan rib pattern, repeat from * once for left shoulder and back piece. After 60 (70 – 80 – 90 – 100) rounds from the pattern division there are 388 (428 – 468 – 508 – 548) sts. Then the sleeves, back and front parts are worked separately in stocking st, to do this divide the sts as follows: right sleeve 80 (90 – 100 – 110 – 120) sts = between the former raglan ribs,
Front part
114 (124 – 134 – 144 – 154) sts = 3 sts each of the former raglan rib pattern and 108 (118 – 128 – 138 – 148) sts in between, purl sleeve 80 (90 – 100 – 110 – 120) sts, back piece 114 (124 – 134 – 144 – 154) M
sleeve
With needle number 3.5, work 10 rows in stockinette st over each of the 80 (90 – 100 – 110 – 120) sts, while at the end of each row from the last st, K 1 and P 1 = 90 (100 – 110 – 120 – 130) sts. Now for the hem with needle number 2.5 continue working in garter st for 2 cm in the round, then all Cast off M loosely.
Back part
For the back piece, first work 10 rows in stockinette st over the 114 (124 – 134 – 144 – 154) sts with needle size 3.5, picking up 1 st from the increased sleeve stitches on each back = 124 (134 – 144 – 154 – 164) sts.
Back and front part
Immediately after the last row with needle size 3.5 on the back piece, pick up 5 sts from the increased sleeve stitches and work over the following 114 (124 – 134 – 144 – 154) sts on the front piece, pick up 5 sts from the increased sleeve stitches. Continue working over all 248 (268 – 288 – 308 – 328) sts in stockinette st in the color sequence, knitting 10 sts in every 18th round – 1 st from the cross thread to the next st twisted. 93 cm from the neck edge – measured on the front piece or if the length is desired – try it on, for the hem continue with needle size 3.5 in garter st for 2 cm, then loosely bind off all sts.

Sew all threads and close any small holes at the transitions of the round yoke.
