Knit the polo jacket

For the right front piece, continue working according to the color sequence over the 136 (141 – 146 – 151) sts from the thread, casting off 4 sts on the left side for the curve at the neckline, then cast off 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st on every other row. 26 rows from the beginning of the neckline – after 8 rows of mignonette green – work the button placket with white, then cast off 5 sts on the right side for the hem and finish the row = 117 (122 – 127 – 132) sts. Work 3 rows and then work the buttonholes as follows on the right side: work 4 (3 – 7 – 7) sts, *knit 2 sts together, 1 U, 1 sl, work 12 (13 – 13 – 14) sts, work from * 6 times, K 2 tog, 1 U, 1 sl, finish the row. In the following back row, knit 1 purl st and 1 purl st twisted from each U. Work 2 rows, then for the wrap, work 1 purl st from the back and 8 more rows for the facing in stocking st, repeating the buttonholes on the 4th row. Then cast off the sts. Left front part: Cast on 117 (122 – 127 – 132) sts with white and needle size 3.5 and for the button placket work 8 rows in stockinette st, 1 row in left st and 7 rows in stockinette st, but without buttonholes. At the end of the last back row, cast on 5 sts for the hem. Then continue knitting in the opposite direction to the right front piece and continue the color sequence from ** with 4 mignonette green. Then work 64 (70 – 78 – 84) rows again in the color sequence together with the sts from the back piece over all 272 (282 – 292 – 302) sts. Then cast off 85 sts on both rows.

Close the side and sleeve seams. Fold the facings of the front edges inwards at the fold and sew them in place. Sew the buttons on the button placket on the left front piece. Fold the hem edge 5 sts deep to the inside and sew it in place. Crochet the neckline with double thread in white and crochet hook size 3.5 with 3 rows of single sts. For the collar, pick up 91 sts from the edge with white and needle size 3 and work rib pattern, adding 1 st after or before the warp edge on every other row. Continue 3 cm from the start of the collar with needle size 3.5 mm. Cast off the sts 6 cm from the beginning of the collar.
